I was extremely interested to read all of the above as my Grandmother&#039;s mother [ or it might have been her mother ] lived at The Grange Bective. She ran off on horseback with her father&#039;s huntsman and came to England. If it was the mother her name would have been Edith Mowatt, and his John Jack Jones. Years ago my uncle went to Bective and at the ruined gates an old gentleman told him this story and he was able to say &quot;that was my relative&quot;! If by any chance you have any information or confirmation about this story I would be very grateful to hear from you.
